Half Coffee. Half Human. Barely Operational.

Some people wake up naturally.

Eyes open.

Brain online.

Ready to participate in society.

Suspicious behavior, honestly...

Then there are the rest of us.

Technically awake.

Physically present.

Spiritually unavailable until further notice.

Coffee is weird when you think about it.

We take a bunch of beans, roast the hell out of them, grind them into dust, pour boiling water through the remains, and suddenly we're willing to answer emails.

Civilization may have been a mistake, but coffee was a solid recovery plan.

Maybe that's why morning coffee feels less like a beverage and more like a tiny resurrection ritual.

Before coffee, you're not exactly dead.

But let's not pretend you're bringing your best material either.

Then the caffeine hits.

The lights come on.

Words become available.

Other humans become slightly less offensive.

And for a brief, beautiful moment, you become a functioning member of society.

Half coffee.

Half human.

Honestly, that's probably being generous about the human half.
